Jan Kent and her husband, Randy, have made France their home since 1989, working with the French Protestant Evangelical churches. They currently live in both California and Alsace, the northeast corner of France. Jan is a Biola graduate with an extensive background in biblical studies. She has the privilege of speaking to many women's groups throughout France and the United States. Jan's passion is God's Word: reading it, living it, and communicating it!

Activities include archery, crafts, horseback riding, ping-pong, Recreation Room, silent auction, target range, and more! Snack Shoppe and General Store will also be open throughout the weekend.

Beat the traffic and arrive on Thursday for no extra charge (no meals provided until Friday). Just mark "Arriving Thursday" on the registration form.

Bonfire Bonanza

Saturday, September 7, 2024

Speaker:  Pastor Jonathan Sibayan, Faith Calvary Baptist Church, L.A.

Purpose:Maria 2

To provide Christian fun and fellowship among the ARBCSC (Association of Regular Baptist Churches of Southern California) and other like-minded youth & families.

Place:

Huntington State Beach in Huntington Beach, CA.  We will meet in the second parking area to the north (right) of the Brookhurst entrance.  Look for the signs that say Victory Ranch.

Volleyball Tournament:volleyball fun

The tournament will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Bring one or more teams. Single game elimination.  Feel free to come earlier if you wish to spend more time at the beach or in preparation for the tournament.

Worship Service:

The service will begin around 5:45 with a time of singing, followed by a message from God's Word.

BBQ Dinner:

We will eat around 6:30 p.m.  Please bring your own food and drink.  The Ranch will provide firewood and marshmallows.

Campfire:

The campfire time will begin following dinner.

Cost:

Parking at Huntington State Beach is $15 for standard vehicles, $30 for oversize vehicles, $50 for buses (10-24 passenger), and $100 for buses (25 passenger or more).  Seniors (62+) are $14, and Disabled are $7.50 (with CA State Parks discount card).

Use the entrance NORTH of Brookhurst to Huntington State Beach.  In the area near the first lifeguard tower on the north side of the entrance, there will be signs that say VICTORY RANCH.

W.E.S.T. Week

W.E.S.T.  Week
For those entering Grade 8 & Above

Work Experience Staff Training Week is designed to give work experience and training to teens, age 14 and older, with a heart for ministry and who desire to serve on the Victory Ranch Staff during the summer and periodically throughout the year. Training Includes:  Archery, General Store Cashier, Preparation for Food Handler's Test, Grounds & Maintenance, Housekeeping, Horse Wrangling, and general work ethic.

  • Application deadline is May 31.
  • Drop off is Monday, June 17 @ 9:00 a.m.
  • Pick up is Saturday, June 22 @ 10:00 a.m.

Applicants will be accepted based on the recommendation of their pastor, application date, experience, and space available. All applicants are expected to register for Middle School Camp (grade 8) or Senior High Camp (grades 9-12) as a camper. Additional Information:

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP:  Bible (non-electronic), pen, notebook, pillow & bedding, toiletry items, towel, sunscreen, modest swimsuit, nice clothes for evening chapel, work clothes, hat, jeans, closed-toed shoes, flashlight, water bottle, medications (in original container), and spending money.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING:  Cell phones, electronic media devices (tablets, video games, I-Pods/MP3 players, radios, etc.), magazines, playing cards, fireworks, alcohol, drugs, vapes, tobacco, or weapons (including pocket knives).

VR DRESS STANDARDS:  Each camper and staff member is expected to abide by these guidelines while at Victory Ranch. All camp attire should be modest and God-honoring.

All medication MUST be given to the First Aid Director for dispensing and supervision. Please bring medication in original container clearly marked with the camper's name.

Teen Camp

Camper registration/check-in begins on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
Camper pick-up is on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
 

Teen Camp is for students entering grade 7 through those completing grade 12 this year, with separate programs for junior high and high school students.  This is an action packed week with late night recreation, crazy games and relays, horse rides, archery, tournaments, relaxing in the pool, or playing a game of pool in the air conditioned recreation room while making new friends or hanging out with old ones.  This week fills up quickly, so register early!

By registering online, the following options are available:

  • Register Only – Select this option to register only and then mail the deposit or full payment by USPS.
  • Deposit Only – Select this option to register and pay a non-refundable $50 deposit to hold your child's spot at camp.  The remaining balance is due by registration/check-in; however, the Early Bird Discount still applies if balance is paid in full by July 1, 2018.
  • Full Payment – Select this option to register and pay the full amount for your child’s week of camp.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING:  Fireworks, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, weapons, playing cards, radios/CD/MP3/I-pod players, cell phones, magazines, or electronic games.

The Ranch reserves the right to send home at his/her own expense, and without refund, any camper who brings any of these prohibited items and/or is rebellious or disobedient.

"Mail Time" is a daily highlight!  Please send letters with your camper's name & cabin, c/o Victory Ranch, 18080 Gilman Springs Rd., Moreno Valley, CA 92555.  (We do not accept emails.)  We ask that campers do not phone home or have parents call except for emergencies.

Medications MUST be given to the First Aide Director for dispensing and supervision.  Please bring medications in original bottles with child's name clearly marked.  Secondary medical insurance is provided; family insurance is primary.

The Bunkhouse and Las Flores cabins provide comfortable sleeping arrangements.  All dining, meeting, and living facilities are cooled.

Campership funds may be available for those who cannot attend without financial assistance.  Contact your local GARBC pastor for application forms.
