Ranch Projects

 NEW CABIN PROJECT

 Current Status:  Plans pending approval

Please join us in praying for this project. The new cabins will be a tremendous asset to the continued ministry of the Ranch and would allow us to serve more churches and campers throughout the year.

The plan is to build six total cabins (twelve rooms when using the optional room divider) across from the shop, in between the covered bridge and the playfield. The new cabins will be air-conditioned with private toilet and shower facilities (including ADA restrooms). Each cabin will include an optional room divider which will allow the cabin to either be used as a main dorm-style cabin (for youth camps, men's and ladies' retreats, etc.) or as a smaller space for family housing (for family camps, speakers, etc.). Each side is planned to have three bunk bed, one with a lower double-size bed.

The goal is to build these cabins without incurring any debt. We realize that if the Lord wants this project completed, He will provide the necessary funds. If you would like to contribute toward this project, please designate any gifts to the "New Cabin Fund."

We thank God for so many individuals who have blessed us with volunteer work, financial gifts, donations, and continual prayer for the numerous camp projects over the years.

CARBC State Meeting

Annual CARBC Meeting 2016

April 14 - April 16

Keynote Speaker: Dr. R. Larry Overstreet
A graduate of Bob Jones University (B.A.), San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Wayne State University (M.A., Ph.D.), Dr. Overstreet has been in full-time Christian service for nearly 50 years, both in pastoral ministry and in Christian education.  He retired July 1, 2008, from his position as Director of the Doctor of Ministry program and Professor of Pastoral Theology at Corban University School of Ministry, Tacoma, WA.  He also taught at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, Grace Theological Seminary and Clearwater Christian College.  He pastored churches in Michigan and Indiana for 17 years, and currently devotes his time to adjunct teaching, pulpit supply, conference speaking, and writing.

A former skydiver and motorcycler, Dr. Overstreet now limits his hobby activity to jogging and working around the house. He has spoken at various retreats, seminars, camps, Bible conferences, and on several mission fields.  He is the author of Biographical Preaching: Bringing Bible Characters to Life (Kregel, 2001; translated into Korean, 2007), and Persuasive Preaching: A Biblical and Practical Guide to the Effective Use of Persuasion (Weaver Books, 2014). He has written over 150 articles in various scholarly journals and magazines, and made numerous contributions to Sunday School materials.

Dr. Overstreet’s commitment is always to the local Bible-believing church and its growth in the grace and knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ.  As a former pastor and as a professor of future pastors and Christian workers, he firmly believes in the verbal inspiration and full authority of the Word of God, and the desperate need in our day for its truths to be presented clearly and forcefully.  He desires to help individual believers and Christian families have their lives solidly established on the principles of God’s Word.

In addition to his preaching and teaching ministries, Dr. Overstreet presents sermon-length, first person dramatic monologues.  Dressed in biblical costume, he “becomes” a biblical character (for example, Lot, Solomon, Job, King Herod, Pontius Pilate, or John Mark), and powerfully shares the life and lessons of that person with the contemporary audience.
